Now I'm NOthing
(stone statue. robot arm.)
i bite the hand that feeds me
leave it cowering in a corner
slow
jaws
never once deprived
the pound of flesh
never once an empty space
where
i could live a thousand lives
in one sordid
wind swept moment
left out in the cold
pulling out my heart
and feeding it to anyone
with an ear
with an eye
or what was whispered in the dawn
down beneath the street lamp glow
the yellow fog
creeping feline
the hollow men, the stuffed.
the whimper of a world
vanishing in sullen mists
graveyard hedge-clipped
stone statue.
robot arm.

Bleak, but meaningful.......sadly.
Our world has lost reality and there are no enduring values. The 'robot arm' is the future. How did we, human beings, allow this to happen??
I don't understand our depraved, rapidly changing world anymore and maybe i don't want to so that i can preserve my sanity.
Breathtaking.
